Open to the public, subject to availability
Joining a club your neighbors own
Wedgewood has been owned and run by the families who swim in it since 1958. Because so many of them come back every summer, new applications wait their turn on a list kept in the order they arrive.

From the wait list to the first swim
Write to the Board
Applications and questions go to wedgewoodbod@gmail.com. Membership is open to the public, subject to availability. The club phone is answered only during summer hours and takes no voicemail, so out of season email is the way in.
Join the wait list
New applications are placed on the wait list in the order they are received. How fast it moves depends on how many families return each year, and there is no guarantee of acceptance this year.
Accept and register
New members are generally accepted in the spring and summer months. Membership is bond-based, and the Board sends the current dues figures. Every family member is registered under the dues structure, whether or not they intend to swim.
Put a face on the account
Members use the Member Login on the club's member portal to manage the account, make payments and upload a current photo for every family member, children included. Anyone without a photo on the account is not admitted until one is uploaded. Look it over before opening day.
Check in through the breezeway
Members and guests all enter at the Front Desk. Nobody comes in through the gate by the picnic grove. Children under 12 come with a member over 16, or with a nanny or babysitter registered to the account, who is added for a fee and has a photo on the account.
What a family commits to
The club publishes two figures in text. The yearly dues are not among them: the Board sends the current dues figures, so ask when you write.
A one-time assessment in 2026 for members in their third year and beyond.
The Annual Capital Improvement Fee, billed to every member after the second year.
- Unpaid New Member Capital Assessment fees are withheld from the bond of any member who leaves before the second year.
- Every family member is registered under the dues structure, whether they swim or not. That is the Family Tradition and the By-Laws.
- There are no partial-year refunds of the membership fee.
- Dues and fees are subject to change without notice.
Guests on the ledger
- Who may invite
- Members 18 and older. The inviting member stays with the guest and leaves when the guest leaves.
- Per day
- Up to six guests. More than six non-member guests is a party.
- In season
- $8 a pass.
- Bought in the offseason
- $6 a pass.
- Grandparents
- No guest fee.
- The pass itself
- Non-transferable and non-refundable. It carries over from year to year and never expires.
- Visits
- Ten per guest per season.
- At the Front Desk
- The inviting member registers each guest on arrival. Guests wear a wristband for the visit.
- The manager
- The pool manager may decline any guest at any time, to keep the club at a safe capacity.
A gathering of more than six non-member guests is a party. Parties run Monday to Saturday with the manager's approval, never on Sundays, holidays or scheduled events, and they are capped at 25 people. The full party rules, with the cost per guest and the notice the club asks for, are in the party policy.
Leaving, and getting the bond back
Because membership is bond-based, a member who leaves asks the Board to redeem the bond. By the By-Laws a bond may be refunded minus any unpaid fees, after the retired bonds are resold to new applicants. Refunds are paid on a first come, first served basis. New members are generally accepted in spring and summer, so a request made in August or September can wait until the following year.
Or read the rules, browse the pools and programs or get in touch.
